I graduated in Biology Applied to Biomedical Research at the University of Milan in 2014. During my degree, I joined the Vascular Biology Unit of Prof. Elisabetta Dejana at the FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology (IFOM) in Milan to perform my undergraduate thesis project. My thesis was focused on the characterization of endothelial tight junctions. After graduation, I continued in Prof. Dejana’s group as a postgraduate researcher to continue my thesis project. This opportunity allowed me to gain experience in biochemistry, and molecular and cellular biology laboratory techniques.

In 2016, I moved to the Zebrafish Unit at the IFOM-IEO Campus in Milan where I provided support to researchers in the planning and execution of experiments with different zebrafish lines and in the interpretation of data.

In 2018, I started work in the Endocytosis, Signaling and Cancer Research Unit of Prof. Pier Paolo Di Fiore at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan where I am involved in mice handling, management, monitoring and genotyping. I have also gained experience in the execution of necropsies and removal of organs affected by pathologies including cancer, in vivo treatments and orthotopic cell/tissue transplants in the mouse mammary gland.
