A position for a short term fellowship, eventually renewable, is available in the DIMA laboratory at the Department of Experimental Oncology, IEO, Milan. The laboratory is primarily interested in multi-omics approaches to define abnormalities and deconvolute heterogeneity in cancer using high-throughput technologies.
The successful candidate will be involved primarily in a project that applies multi-omic studies based on the use of whole genome, transcriptomic and single cell analyses for the characterization of mechanisms responsible for leukemia cell resistance to cytotoxic agents and targeted therapies in children with AML.
The laboratory is located in the Department of Experimental Oncology of the European Institute of Oncology (IEO), a Comprehensive Cancer Center based on state-of-the-art research laboratories and clinical facilities, fully equipped, relying on dedicated and trained personnel.
Requisites of the candidate:
- BA degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Sanitary Biomedicine or relative disciplines awarded by an Italian university or a title obtained abroad which has been recognized as equivalent to the Italian degree;
- basic knowledge of the English language;
- theoretical background in molecular biology and genomics;
- reliability and precision.
