Three-months fellowship with the possibility of extension up to one year, is available in the laboratory of Pier Giuseppe Pelicci in the Department of Experimental Oncology, IEO, Milan, starting October 2026. The laboratory is primarily interested in deconvoluting cancer heterogeneity and defining mechanisms of treatment resistance applying state of the art high-throughput technologies.
The Department of Experimental Oncology of the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) is a Comprehensive Cancer Center based on state-of-the-art research laboratories and clinical facilities, fully equipped, relying on dedicated and trained personnel.
The successful candidate will be primarily involved in a project that applies multi-omic studies based on the use of whole genome, transcriptomic and single cell analyses for the characterization of mechanisms responsible for leukemia cell resistance to cytotoxic agents and targeted therapies in children with AML.
Requisites of the candidate:
- PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Sanitary Biomedicine or relative disciplines awarded by an Italian university or a title obtained abroad which has been recognized as equivalent to the Italian degree;
- knowledge of the English language;
- theoretical background in molecular biology, single cell analysis and genomics;
- reliability and precision.
