The Testa Lab investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer heterogeneity and contributing to tumor onset, survival and recurrence.
To this end, we spearhead stem cell and organoid-based patient-specific models for human cancer coupled to high resolution profiling, focusing on intrinsic and extrinsic determinants of cell states establishment and diversification as an increasingly relevant layer of tumorigenic mechanisms.
We are looking for a skilled and passionate postdoctoral fellow with strong expertise in molecular and cellular biology to join our group.
Different lines of research are available, and the specific project will be chosen according to the candidate’s interests and skills.
Key requirements
Essential
- PhD in molecular and/or cellular biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines.
- Strong expertise in molecular biology, gene transfer, biochemistry and imaging
- Hands on experience with in vitro cultures from primary samples
- Proven scientific track record, with a least one first-author publication
- Excellent spoken and written English
Desirable
- Experience with tridimensional cultures (i.e. spheroids and organoids)
- Expertise in CRISPR technology, including targeted genome editing
- Experience with bioinformatic analysis
- Experience with scientific writing
Duration and salary
The position is initially for 2 years (1+1), with possible extensions. A competitive salary will be offered based on experience and qualifications.
