Alliance Against Cancer (ACC) is the principal Italian research association on Cancer. It was founded by the Italian Health Ministry and is currently constituted by 27 Scientific Institutes for patient care and research (IRCCS), AIMaC, Italian Sarcoma Group, CNAO Foundation, and Italian National Institute of Health, where ACC offices are located.
Among the ACC objectives, the principal is to promote networking and research activities across IRCCS and other cancer research centers to implement cancer diagnosis and therapies. For the purposes mentioned above, on 19 November 2019, ACC as Actuator Subject, and in conjunction with the Cardiological Network and the Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Network, has entered the agreement n. 2019/CCR-2018-23669122 with the Italian Ministry of Health. The agreement concerns the entrustment of the research project “Virtual pathology institutes of the IRCSS Italian Networks: prevent disease, personalize cure and improve patients’ quality of life.” The project endowed with the endowment 2018-2028 provided for by the Italian Authorization Bill n. 25 2016. This project aims to create a technological platform for the collection, sharing, and analyses of clinical and scientific data obtained from patients of each participating IRCCS of three networks (Health Big-Data Project).
To support this project’s activities, ACC needs to hire two highly qualified external professional figures (Data Scientist and Data Engineer) with expertise in coordinating the collaborative project to create the IT platform.
