The Meeting on Emerging Issues in Oncogenic Virus Research began in 2010 from the vision of our dear friend and colleague, Prof. Massimo Tommasino. Deeply connected to his native Puglia, Massimo created a meeting that combined excellent science with a uniquely open and friendly atmosphere, bringing together researchers from across the world to share new findings and ideas in the field of tumor virology.
It is therefore with great pleasure that we announce the 8th Meeting on Emerging Issues in Oncogenic Virus Research, which will return to Manduria, Puglia, in October 2027.
The 2027 programme will address some of the most timely questions in oncogenic virus research, from the epidemiology and immune control of tumor-associated viruses to vaccines and prevention, virus–host interactions, regulation of gene expression, and the molecular mechanisms leading to cellular transformation. Established oncogenic viruses as well as newly emerging viral threats and their potential clinical relevance will be discussed.
We look forward to welcoming you to Puglia in 2027 to share exciting science, strengthen old and new connections, and continue this very special journey together.
