I am biologist and mass spec enthusiast having worked both with in vitro and in vivo models predominantly in the pancreatic cancer (PDAC) field. I completed my diploma in Biology from the University of Athens, Greece, and then moved to Munich, Germany, where I obtained my master's degree in Biomedicine from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and my PhD from the University of Munich (LMU) working on circadian rhythms in PDAC and on phenotypic characterisation of PDAC cell lines by mass spectrometry-based proteomics. After a short experience in a start-up proteomics company in Munich, I returned to academia to pursue postdoctoral research.
I am highly interested in understanding tumor heterogeneity and tumor cell plasticity in PDAC by employing spatial proteomics approaches on clinical (FFPE) PDAC samples. Outside the lab, I enjoy any fitness-related activity, going to the movies and taking photos.
